Fast way to Level-Up?

Can you give me(newbie) some tips on how to level up my heroes fast, i used up my exp tickets for 1 hero (1300+ tickets and she only got to lvl 84 :( and the rest of my team is sitting on lvl 20 below, :( now im on 2nd map(pirate) and i already unlocked hero mode of the 1st map(illusion forest)
i always lost in the battle :( pvp
